In a post-match interview with Channel 4 after the Australia game, Alexander-Arnold mentioned, “I’ve always felt that I play the game a little differently from anyone else, with my skill set. I take inspiration from different players. I greatly admire De Bruyne’s playing style.
James Maddison excels at receiving the ball in tight spaces. Even training alongside Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice, I observe what they do, ask them questions, and don’t hesitate to learn from them. It doesn’t matter that they are younger than me; if it helps me become a better player, then that’s a win.”
