Wolves are reportedly keen on a January swoop for Amad Diallo.

Wolves are reportedly keen on a January swoop for Amad Diallo

That’s according to Football Transfers as the Premier League side consider an offer to lure the Manchester United starlet to Molineux on loan. The 21-year-old impressed at Sunderland in the Championship last season after he had struggled north of the border with Rangers the campaign before that.

Returning to Old Trafford this summer, Amad was injured in pre-season. Despite training recently, the forward has still not yet been deemed fit enough to be included in any matchday squad.

Even with long-standing concerns in attacking quarters – especially on the right flank – Amad could reportedly be allowed to leave United on loan once again when the market reopens. Wolves are reported to be keen on the promising Ivory Coast international if United do make him available.

Amad Diallo netted 14 goals in 42 appearances for Sunderland last season. He was a star performer for them and across the entire Championship – drawing plaudits for his performances at the Stadium of Light and beyond.

Wolves are reported to be considering their options and possible replacements for Pedro Neto should he leave the club mid-season. Arsenal are claimed to be interested in his signature.

Elsewhere, reports from Inter Live state United could attempt to sign Mehdi Taremi as back-up to Rasmus Hojlund when the market reopens. Taremi, 31, is an experienced striker who currently plays for FC Porto.

The 72-cap Iran international has totted-up 83 goals in 162 games during his time with the Portuguese outfit, while he also has 52 assists to his name in that time. Taremi is reported to have Inter Milan chasing his services, as well, as one eye now turns to the January transfer window.

A fee around the €10million-mark has been mooted for him.
