Sancho, aged 23, was excluded from the United squad that suffered a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday. Ten Hag attributed Sancho’s absence to his lackluster performances in training, a claim that Sancho openly challenged on social media.
The English star retaliated on social media, refuting the accuracy of the Dutchman’s remarks. Jadon Sancho statement emphasized, “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue.
“I have conducted myself very professionally in training this week. I believe there are other factors at play in this situation that I won’t delve into. I’ve felt like a scapegoat for quite some time, and that’s not fair! My sole desire is to play football with joy and make a positive contribution to my team,” Sancho stated.
“I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff. I have the privilege of playing alongside exceptional players, and I’m thankful for that. I understand that every week is a test. I will persist in fighting for this badge, no matter the circumstances!”
Sancho’s statement may have caused quite a stir among the Manchester United fanbase, but Piers Morgan, an Arsenal fan, wasted no time in extending an invitation to the winger to appear on his TV show:

The talkshow host took it a step further, playfully suggesting that he could assist Sancho in escaping his Old Trafford predicament. Jadon Sancho has faced challenges meeting the high expectations at Manchester United following his high-profile £73 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. Last season, he was granted time to train separately from the club, working with a select group of coaches recommended by Ten Hag in an effort to rediscover his top form.
