After a recent match between Manchester United and Copenhagen, Paul Scholes expressed his views on Hojlund’s performance:
“Hojlund is a very young player who hasn’t yet established an impressive scoring record, but he has the potential to rise to the occasion. It takes time to confirm the value of an emerging goal scorer.”

“Hojlund needs to determine his playing style as a striker. Is it more akin to Ruud van Nistelrooy or Alan Shearer? In my view, Hojlund’s style leans more towards Shearer. He seeks to be at the focal point of every ball played into his position. His development appears hindered by Ten Hag’s strategy.”
Scholes highlights the issue that Manchester United faces without a strong supporting forward: “The significant problem for Manchester United is the absence of a prominent shadow player. Rashford doesn’t fill that role. Antony tends to cut inside and take on the responsibilities himself. Sergio Reguilon is adept at dribbling, as is Luke Shaw. This is a challenge that needs to be addressed.”
