The Morocco Football Association, through a statement on its website, announced the replacement of Sofyan Amrabat in their squad for the upcoming international matches against Liberia and Burkina Faso.
Yahya Gibran, a player from Wydad Sports Club, was invited by Walid Regragui, the head coach of Morocco, to join the national team for these matches. The statement specified the locations of the matches as Agadir for Liberia and Lens, France, for Burkina Faso.
“The national team coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, called upon the player Yahya Jeeran to step in for the injured Sofiane Amrabat.” Earlier reports this week indicated that Manchester United had identified a ‘minor back injury’ during the defensive midfielder’s medical examination. Although it was not considered serious, United has not yet officially confirmed this information.
