With only minutes left in the game and Egypt trailing 2-1, Tunisia secured their victory with a third goal, scored by Hamza Rafia. This goal prompted jubilant celebrations among the Tunisian players.

One of the players involved in the build-up to the goal was Hannibal Mejbri, a Manchester United player, who came on as a substitute in the 82nd minute. Mejbri attempted to score from inside the penalty area before his teammate found the net.

Hannibal Mejbri, along with some of his Tunisia teammates, decided to playfully mimic one of Mohamed Salah’s iconic goal celebrations, known as the yoga celebration. This celebration involves raising the left leg while placing the hands together and was first seen during Salah’s remarkable long-range strike against Chelsea at Anfield during the 2018/19 season.

Explaining his choice of celebration after the match, the 31-year-old Salah humorously said, “I am a yoga man! I do yoga and it just came into my mind.”

Salah himself had performed this celebration during Liverpool’s 4-0 home victory over Manchester United in April 2022. Interestingly, it was during this game that Hannibal Mejbri was introduced as a late substitute and subsequently received a yellow card for a foul shortly after coming onto the field.

In a playful attempt to get back at Salah, the young Manchester United midfielder decided to imitate the Liverpool No.11’s celebration after Tunisia’s third goal. Salah, observing from a distance, responded with a smirk to the cheeky gesture.
