It appears that Manchester United’s players have rallied behind manager Erik ten Hag amid his public feud with the £73 million winger Jadon Sancho.
The relationship between the two has soured after Ten Hag publicly stated that Sancho was not training up to the required standard following a defeat to Arsenal earlier this month. Following this, Sancho was omitted from the matchday squad for the Arsenal game.

Ten Hag candidly remarked, “Based on his training performance, we didn’t select him. At Manchester United, you have to meet the required level every day. There are choices to be made in the starting lineup, so he wasn’t chosen for that game.”
Sancho responded hours later with a social media statement denying the allegations, stating, “Please do not believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself well in training this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I have been unfairly targeted for a long time!”
He went on to express his desire to play football happily and support his team. He also pledged his respect for the coaching staff’s decisions and acknowledged the challenge of playing with top-notch players.

Until the 23-year-old requests crisis talks with Ten Hag and attempts to reconcile, he will be relegated to training with United’s youth players. This represents a significant low point for a player whose performances have fallen short of expectations since his arrival at Old Trafford.
